Car Speed Detector By Tech Icon | Using Arduino UNO | Diagram And All Needed Information Is Given
Car Speed Detector By Tech Icon
Introduction To My Project
The main aim of this project is to detect the speed
of humans. Thus, this system proves very beneficial in areas of sports. To record the speed of humans, this system uses a handheld radar gun pointing
towards the person whose speed is to be detected. In the case of a running race,
it may be required to detect the speed of the participants to take the decision or
for some other reason. The proposed system calculates the speed by considering
the time taken parameter to travel from start to endpoint. For this IR
transmitter and receiver are installed on either of the roadsides on the setpoints. The calculation of the time taken by the human is done by the control unit.
The speed of the human is displayed on an LCD display.

Technology Area
The Infrared sensor(IR) is a device that uses infrared
waves to sense characteristics of the surroundings. It is used to measure heat
emitted by objects or human beings. It is also used to detect the motion of the
object. And it has some limitations to
detect. Frequency Range: 300 GHz and 400 THz Wavelength Range: 1 mm to 750 nm
Sensing range or distance: 10 to 30 meters.LCDs using an analog input require
careful adjustment of pixel tracking/phase to reduce or eliminate
digital noise in the image. Automatic pixel tracking/phase controls seldom
produce the optimum setting. Timing drift and jitter may require frequent
readjustments during the day. For some displays and video boards, you may not be
able to entirely eliminate the digital noise. After all, by Tech Icon the
project has been done.
Summary
According to physics, speed is related to
motion. Distance traveled by a moving body in a given time is called speed.
Other related terms are angular speed, velocity, and angular velocity. Angular
speed is the angular distance per unit of time. (Linear) Velocity and angular
velocity are vector quantities and are defined as displacement (linear/angular)
per unit time. Measurement of speed is of great significance in a variety of
applications involving some form of motion. While moving in a car/ train or
flying in an aircraft or sailing on a ship, we are often interested to know how
fast we are moving. In the engine control systems, it is imperative to know the
speed of moving gears (camshaft/ crankshaft). Scientists involved in
missile/rocket systems need to know the velocity at various stages of the
flight. Speed is measured using different kinds of sensors operating on
different principles. Subsequent sections will discuss various kinds of sensors
used for measurement of speed (and related vector quantity, velocity).
